



Steven Kazmierczak (Northern Illinois University shooting, 2008) – shot and killed five people and wounded 21 at Northern Illinois University before killing himself in DeKalb, Illinois on February 14, 2008. Kazmierczak, 27, had a history of suicide attempts and was treated for psychiatric issues more than once. He was taking several medications including Xanax, Ambien and Prozac, the latter of which he quit three weeks before the shooting.
