



Jason Hoffman (Granite Hills High School shooting, 2001) – opened fire at Granite Hills High School, injuring three students and two teachers March 22, 2001 in El Cajon, California, a suburb of San Diego. Hoffman,18-years-old at the time of the rampage, had been diagnosed as being clinically depressed and was taking the antidepressants Celexa and Effexor prior to the shooting. Hoffman’s mother said her son had an adverse reaction to his antidepressant medication.
