David Bieber (Leeds, England 2003) – a fugitive from the United States, shot and killed a police officer in Leeds, England after his vehicle was pulled over under suspicion that it was stolen. Bieber, a former US Marine, attempted to kill two other officers that same day on December 26, 2003. Bieber, 45-years-old the time of his latest killing, was wanted in the U.S. since 1996 on charges to commit murder and attempted murder in Florida after he was accused of hiring someone to kill Markus Muller, a German-born bodybuilder. Bieber, also a bodybuilder, was believed to be bitter enemies with Muller in “the lucrative steroid trafficking business.”

Bieber is also accused of attempting to murder a former girlfriend after she was shot outside in her home and survived in August 1995. Police discovered a large quantity of Nubain, “an opiate which allows athletes to over-train,” at Bieber’s flat in Leeds.
